Univ. of Colorado and National Forest Service Climate Change Research Position

The University of Colorado and the Forest Service have available immediately a postdoctoral position for 15 months in an interdisciplinary research project.

The focus of our research project is to develop decision support tools that can be used by the Forest Service to incorporate climate change considerations into management and planning. Research teams are working with three National Forests: the Olympic NF in Washington, the Inyo in California and the Shoshone in Wyoming.


Science Coordinator Vacancy at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

We have a term Science Coordinator GS-0401-12/13 vacancy announcement out
for all sources which closes on Dec 1. The purpose of the position is to
facilitate implementation of the Strategic Framework for Science
in Support of Management in the Southern Sierra Nevada Ecoregion. This is
a really exciting opportunity to figure out how to take an ecoregional
approach to adapting to climate change.


The Sevilleta Long Term Ecological Research Site is seeking applicants for Research Experiences for Undergraduates

Application deadline is February 20, 2010. We will be looking for 10 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) students for the Summer of 2010.


Student Observer Needed for Spring 2010 Phenological Study


Overview
We are seeking a student to participate as a phenological observer in a National Science Foundation funded project being conducted in northern Wisconsin for approximately five weeks during spring 2010. The selected individual will work as part of a two-person observation team. Starting and ending times will vary a few days depending on spring weather conditions, but most likely commence during the last week of April and extend to the last week of May.
